I think “gullet” works, especially since one of its meanings is apparently the space between saw teeth (which I only just learned! thank you, internet). “This thing that makes this sound when I do this” would likely be a more accurate translation, but meaningless in text and unspeakable by anything without a ghgzrhrhrhrh*.
