  1. The Dark Ferret says:

Oh yeah, conversation going right down the toilet…

  2. NigaiAmai Yume says:

Actually, I think Grim Eyes LIKES Herne. o_O

  3. Jon says:

Grim Eyes is thinking “I LICK YOU!”

  4. Leave it to the wombat to understand the true meaning of “If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging!” Also, Herne is a buck, and a leader; no way that’s going to go over well with Grim Eyes.

  5. TekServer says:

    > Grim Eyes is thinking “I LICK YOU!”

    What, like a salt lick?

    (Sorry, couldn’t resist … )

  6. Mark Antony says:

Actually, the wombat saying would probably be more along the lines of, “If you find your claws itching like crazy, stop digging that way.”

  7. Xyon says:

Yeah, it’s probably likely to yield some of that bad earth.

  8. dreysabriel says:

So, what happens when shadowchild catches up and sees a talking deer?

  9. zingowner says:

I love how Murai and digger are each trying to stop their party from making things worse, and being summarily ignored.

  10. Deraekan says:

    Hmm, so far its
    Prey: 2
    Predators: 1

  11. JET73L says:

    Prey: 2
    Predators: 2
If you’re going to cout Digger as prey, you may as well count Murai as predator. For that matter, Herne’s a hunter, so maybe it’s
    Prey: .5
    Predator: 1
    Other: 2.5

Predator-prey dymanic gets interesting when you bring anthropomorphism and possibly omnivorism into the situation (we don’t yet know if Herne has the stomach, or even teeth, to match his head. I once read a story about a human who was cursed to become a centaur. His human upper half was suffering deficiencies from lack of protein and fruit vitamins, and his horse body was getting sick from the fruits and meat his human mouth consumed during the first couple of days).
