AAgghh!! Now I want time to pass so I can read the next page. I’m too old to ask time to speed up. It’s risky.
Thank you so much Ursula for a remarkable story so well presented. I await the final pages as patiently as I can.
Is that a dry stone wall leading up to a f corbelled roof? interesting I wonder how stable it would be with that big square opening in the center of the corbelling. Unless the opening was of four solid masonry blocks carved to interlock or a single capstone with a big square hole in the center.
Can’t tell ‘cos its v shadowed, but could be like a square oasthouse roof, with the cap missing. Although from the building and roof shapes shown on page 669, probably not.
I saw it as a chiseled wall rather than a cobblestone wall, where this part of the temple was carved into the mountain and it was just a man-made chimney tunnel with a square opening at the top.
Very carefully.

oooh SNAP 😀
With help, of course. Does Shadowchild’s transport ability cover living things, or is this going down the old fashioned way?
Right… like she’s going to let logic get in the way at this point.
I fear the poor Digger will only get more exasperated form here 😀
whoops. c.c
Destiny is NEVER practical. Luckily, we have Digger.
This is totally where we discover that she can levitate. 😛
When in doubt, turn to engineering.
I think I rather *like* wombats…
Destiny rarely makes accommodations for things like food, sleep, huge rifts in the earth….
“Don’t confuse me with facts!”
kindly do not cloud the issue with logic!!
@Domino
Just look at what happened to God when he tried to use logic. ;P
I like the rendering on the wall here.
@Diddu
Followed by a brief scream and a meaty thump.

*I re-read what I have just written*
Arrrrg. I need help.
No, BunnyRock, I believe you’re in exactly the right place. 🙂
I agree. Your unique insights into the science behind this work are invaluable.
Though I suspect you may have been a cause of one or two headaches on Ursula’s part …
😉
