    Another cool storytelling style shift!

    😀

  6. Draco Dei says:

    Link to a multi-page article, part of which describes the real world counterpart the mythology that the story being told in the comic is based on.

  7. Freemind says:

    WOW. thanks Draco, that was rather fascinating.

    @Draco Dei,
    That’s… odd. I’ve actually read that article before. I don’t even remember how i got to it… probably from Wikipedia. It’s quite interesting.

    Anyway, I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve commented on Digger. I first found it, oh, I dunno, about a year ago? while it was on Graphic Smash, and read up to the last free page. Then I sort of forgot about it until a couple of months ago, at which point I was glad to see it was on a new site where I could read the full archives. I didn’t know what page I’d gotten to though, so I started over, then forgot about it for a while again, and now I’m reading all the way through.

    This comic is really fantastic. I’m very glad I found it.

    Walking down the moon’s path… that’s… whoa. I just have to say I can’t wait to click the Next button! Squee!

    @Draco Dei: What of this reminded you of the article? The Blue Woman?

    I have read of the Miamian La Llorona (who is much different from the Mexican La Llorona, who is very slightly different from the Southwest American La Llorona, stories of all of whom seem to be stalking me lately), possibly even as a result of looking into Digger. Interesting, and not the sort of thing I ever want to read again within two or three days of going to bed.

  11. Draco Dei says:

    Freemind: You are welcome.

    JET73L: Yes, I believe the old comments (either Ursula’s or someone else’s) on the old site or whatever said that the Blue Lady was part of the basis for the story in Digger.

  12. Draco Dei says:

    Oops: La Llorona is closer.
