I love the shift in style you use in the telling of these myths! I have a weird fetish for them, and this comic never fails to dissapoint! 😀

  2. NigaiAmai Yume says:

My second favorite Christ retelling ever, topped ONLY by Neil Gaiman’s “The Golden Boy” from Worlds’ End (the Eight Sandman Volume).

  3. SSpiffy says:

    Moonglow Cuttlefish and Nightfin Snapper?

  4. Jiyambi says:

S Spiffy – all I have to say is fail. Uber fail, in fact.

  5. LizFan says:

Heh. I expected to see one of our tiny lizard friends in the boat at the bottom … of panel 1 🙂 .

  6. griffinguy24 says:

Oh dear… the Good Man’s iconography…. it’s the same as God in Jack Chick’s horrifying comics… That is brilliant

  7. Mad Luc says:

Actually, this version still makes me just as sad as I was when i first heard the *other* story, when I was just a little kid.

  8. Kisame says:

Let me guess, the prgnent woman was a virgin?

  9. Shiitake says:

    Jesus what?

  10. BunnyRock says:

“he walked broardwards of the city and the rope-bridges of the city beneath..”

Well, so long as he avoids the Knightsbridge of the city beneath, he should be okay: should he not, Mister Vandemar?

  11. Ellemerr says:

    Indeed, Mister Croup, indeed.

The Digger mythologies are just the best mythologies. Even beats Neil’s, awesome as his are. I’m a little unsure about their beating Abarat, but it’s a close call either way. Stunning artwork.

And my worship of The Great And Magnificent Ursula continues…
