Did you listen to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy radio show? Well, I imagine Vo’s voice to be very similar to Slartibartfast’s. (In the original show, I mean. Not the newer one.) Vo is nearly my favourite character in this comic.
Ellemerr: I’d spit the bits out rather than swallow, and watch for paper cuts on the tongue, but other than that go for it on your own books… probably not library books though.

He reminds me of assistant librarian Nallab from Dinotopia.
Why can’t Vo just show Digger the way back through polyfractal L-space?
Because that would be too easy, and then we wouldn’t have a story, would we?
Plus, L-space is dangerous.
It’s filled with llamas.
Now I don’t know how other libraries manage without sacred rats, either.
So their copy of the eye of Argon is nibled at all the edges? 😀
You don’t even want to know what they did to the Temple’s copy of “Twilight”.
no, the monks BURNED that. the rats merely added accelerants
Such danger is the life a librarian, rat or men 😀
Those things with all the legs are house centipedes, and they eat worms and silverfish too. But they are quite creepy looking.
I want temple rats for my sailing library. Would have to train the shipscat to not eat them, but it would be worth it. Those rats are so cute.
I’m also considering starting to chew corners off books I don’t like. There aren’t that many of them, so I’m sure I can manage.
