Of course they have a choice! Have you ever tried to force someone to lead you through a complex cave system? If they’re willing to take risks, then there’s a good chance they can ensure you get very lost … permanently …
Heh. I never thought about how the skins would be effected by the appearance of the cold servants. I guess it does make sence. But there is no way Digger letting them off with a “no.” It is a well known fact that an angered wombat with a pickax is not to be triffled with, and gets whatever it wants.
Scared, I don’t know if that’s the right word. Perturbed more likely. The second picture is more of a, ” She did not just ask that.” The next frame ismore of a “We just got done cleaning up your mess from the last time you were here.” Yes I agree they will not have much of a choice. Have Pick Will Travel. Maybe Ursula will flesh this all out for us next week.
@Barry. Ahhh, how I missed the silence of the lamb references from the old website. well done.
@Lissy well, they could be living of cave dwelling bacteria. I’d imagine if a termite can digest cellulose with little problem it should make light work of some snotties
I find Digger’s expression most interesting–it’s not a hard, “don’t-give-me-no-for-an-answer” face. It’s more… she seems scared, too, and she’s never really scared. Upset, yes. Surprised, yes. Angry when someone puts his or her self in danger for her… but scared…
Gee, you’d think the skins wouldn’t be upset about hiding! Get it? Skin? Hide? Is this thing on?
Nice with the scared shitless look on the skin lizards at the top panel.
Pretty sure the skin on the left just pooped himself.
“Well I’m going to make a BIGGER mess this time, so get used to it!”
Where’s Murai when you need her? The skins seem more intimidated by her.
I think it was because she had a knife to one of their throats…
But yeah, not happy lizards.
Ed will help convince them to help. He knows what the dead god is, and so do the skins. He can probably explain their need better than digger can.
They look so offended, poor skins.
But you know what they say about lotion, Jack.
It puts the purple ink on the skin, or else it gets cold servants again!
Remember to vote.

I predict a trade! Probably in dyes and or professional services.
Not like they’re bitter about that or anything.
I love the skins. I’m really excited to see them again.
Has nobody noticed the cave termite reference??? I mean… termites are known for burrowing in wood. If a cave termite burrows in stone…

and Jack Munroe…. shame on you, you bet me to it again! 🙂

The record scratch in Panel 2 is audible.
Dude. Jack. I lol’d over and over and over.
