I might have to adopt that curse, since some shales have a tendency to foul things up at work… And if they don’t foul anything, they’re certaintly worthless. Did you know shales emit higher levels of background radiation than other sedimentary rocks? Now you do!
I’m not even sure if GI Joe was ever shown in Britain whilst i was growing up. I have no memories of it. So how is it that by some cultural osmosis I not only get that reference but want to yell ether “and knowing is half the battle” or, and this is the stronger urge, “COBRRRAAA!” in a silly raspy voice that is still somehow inexplicably awesome?
Oh god. I– I can’t– They’ll fight for freedom, wherever there’s trouble, over land and sea and air! GI JOE IS THEEERE!
…jeeze, look what you made me do! *dodges angrily hurled bricks*
I have never once seen GI Joe (beyond the “don’t hide in refrigerators” clip), yet have exactly the same knowledge. It must be a memetically transmitted malady, probably related to the ohrwurm.
Grim Eyes looks like some sort of Native American or Egyptian god in panel 3 (if she looks like a goddess, I don’t know which would have that build with the fuzziness, even not counting the ears). It’s a nice effect, even though it’s probably just me.
Actually BR, that’s an even funnier problem because you’re referancing the wrong American Public Service Annountments. GI Joe is ‘Now you know, and knowing is half the battle’* The more you know… is the tagline for NBC’s PSAs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_More_You_Know
Well, at least she’s planning for the future.
Wow, her week isn’t going well at all. I must have read ‘blood and shale’ a good ten times in the past few comics.

It could be too much time spent on the internets, BunnyRock. I occasionally have the same problem.

*(The other half is violence)
Thank you for the correction Zelith.
Now I Know…
…And knowing is half the battle.
I’m sorry; I had to say it. 😀
