Hmm… Shadowchild hasn’t become anything different, unless you count hatching from the dead bird, sice all it does is make itself be in a new shape. However, it having hold of the idea that /other/ things change may not only provide the possibility of it choosing to change in the future, but also of it figuring out the idea behind forgiveness without Digger telling it directly. This is one of those things that has so much potential for and around Shadowchild.

It’s amazing how much Shadowchild and foreshadowing seem to go together … though I suppose it shouldn’t really be surprising.
