Interesting, as we better get to know Grim Eyes the way she is drawn is shifting: the lines of her face are softer. she’s being drawn to be more likable. good call.
She reminds me somewhat of the aiji-dowager Ilisidi from C. J. Cherryh´s Foreigner novels.
A very sharp, very dangerous and very charming old lady. ^_^
@BunnyRock: That may also be a deliberate shift in body language; there would be definite submissive elements in Grim Eyes’ nonverbals when addressing BoneClaw Mother.
the similarity between the Elder’s hood with the eye covers and the creepy acolyte in the temple with her also-eyes and hood… Brrr! But I like Grandmother. I aim to be a grandma kind of like this.
Awesome! An Elder with a sense of humor. We all need clan elders with a sense of humor, trust me on that.
I hope to *be* an elder with a sense of humor still intact. One day!

(LOL @ “your motherness”)
🙂
I think I like Boneclaw Mother quite a bit already.
Also, what a different look at Grim Eyes in that last panel; she actually looks almost pretty there. Quite a leap from her usual savage look.

Someday.
