Also, without a crank it can’t draw with as much power as a cross-bow WITH a crank. Which means that the entire point of the crossbow (it’s sheer armour-defying power) is lost.

  2. Nufs says:

Still got nice flesh-rending power, though.

  3. wolfyhound says:

Foot-cocked crossbows are quite powerful, although this one doesn’t seem to have the foot ‘handle’ to use for bracing.
    At any rate.. OW!!!

  4. TekServer says:

Even a light crossbow with a goat-foot type hand lever can pack quite a wallop. For that matter, even a straight pull can have about the same punch as a good bow, with the added benefits of being able to keep it drawn without muscle power and of it being relatively easier to aim than a bow or thrown weapon.

(Not an expert, just an enthusiast … )

    😉

  5. BunnyRock says:

At least Digger had toe good scene and iron presence of mind (I’d expect no less from her) not to fall ONTO the crossbow quarrel. It’s important to remember, if you must pass out, use those last sub-seconds of consciousness to collapse in a neat and orderly matter which will not cause further injury.

  7. Elkian says:

Ah, blood loss, you sure do love to sneak up on us.

  8. Lord the 22nd says:

SEE! Squthup is pithy! I told you!

  9. The Procrastinator says:

A really crappy crossbow it may be, but the marksmanship appears to be even worse. Honestly, that far away and not even a torso shot? Granted, the shoulder’s easy to mess up, but not as easy or reliable as the chest or gut.
