    I adore how you use perspective to create the impression of expression [*wins Scrabble*] for the statue while never damaging the reality that it is inanimate. It’s one of the reasons the static, graphic format suits the story better than just about any other medium. You draw the readers focus [pun not intended, but cool nevertheless] exactly where it needs to be without hitting them over the head with the subtle points.

    This is going to sound weird, but this is a good place for weird: I like how the statue’s voice sounds in my head when I see his lines. I consider that to be a product of good writing that he has a distinct voice, though. 😀
