@rueyeet i can see a Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan style ending happening. and now i cant finish my post for fear of leaking spoilers.

@ Bwee: *pant* “And Ed was thinking it was smelling bad *pant* on the outside!”

Hmmm… I don’t suppose Jhalm’s opinion of Digger is likely to improve now that she’s commited deicide.

  5. Alioth says:

Actually…. I hate to mention this, but I could see the tribe’s rules of vengeance calling for Ed’s death as the killer of He-is. If he hasn’t already died. Of course, this could be enough of an edge case that the tribe decides the rules don’t apply, or they interpret Ed as He-is’s savior because he killed SGV…

I’ve valiantly resisted making comments here, and finally broke for perfesserbear’s oblique references.

Yes, I think that Larry is one of the best-hidden characters from that.

What I’ve been wondering about, all along, is whether we’re ever gonna get to see Digger ‘home’…

I’m hoping Ed bounced off the heart and onto the god’s liver, which cushioned his fall.

@Bwee: surely that would just be a way to ensure that not only did he fall a long distance but that he fell a long distance and had several tons of quiet tough cardiac tissue land on top of him? I’m really, really hoping he was on top, and that it’s nice and springy, when it landed. A flashback to a forensic archaeology case study at uni about a couple who went of an alpine pass in a hummer or other huge American 4×4 and had it land on it’s roof with them inside keeps coming to mind for some reason.
