“Out of the goodness of our *necks* we helped it —”
***squeeee!*** I think that is going to have to become an in-group phrase. I just need to figure out which of my social circles can be most readily dragooned into *unanimous* Diggerness.
You know.. it’s probably for the best that those underground caverns aren’t the best for playing Golf in.. otherwise they’d be Fore-s… you know.. not gonna go there… 🙂
Haha, funniest statement so far, considering how serious the quest Digger and Ed are on, Ursula still has time to pull in jokes like this that crack me up (:
Facepalm count updated! Current totals: 115 facepalms, 97 of which are performed by Digger herself.
(See the link under my name for the links to each … )
They’re a lot sassier this time around, aren’t they? They are sooooooooo much cuter than Gollum (I really don’t get why people think he’s cute; he’s a murderous…ahem), and they talk in plurals because there are two of them, not because they’re having a permanent identity crisis.
I’m going to “cheat” and vote from my in-laws’ computer as well, when I get there this evening! 🙂
(Tried to post this several times, unsuccessfully, a few days ago; let’s see if it works now … )
@duskDiamond: thanks for catching that; I can’t believe I missed it! Facepalm count updated, and you got the credit (and I got the task of renumbering the entire list, since it came in at #2 – they’re in order by page/date, and that was very near the beginning of the strip).
The official count is now 116 facepalms, 98 of which were performed by Digger and 18 by various other characters (Murai, Grim Eyes, Herne, Shadowchild, and even an unnamed minor character). Any bets on who will be the cause of Digger’s 100th facepalm?
Found on TVtropes Digger article, must probably someone from here made this so the credit goes to that person, i just thought it was a good complement to Tek’s Facepalm count 😉
However, it turns out that Digger now has her own TV Tropes page, on which you can find a link (about half way down the page) to the facepalm picture you were trying to show.

(Surely that can’t be hard…)
Just how many of those lightsticks does she have? They only last two hours each, right?
Oh wow…”out of the goodness of our necks” I haven’t laughed that hard at a comic in a while 🙂
I love the skins faaaaaaar too much
“I can do it *again* if you’d like…”

Yes, we escaped from THAT pun by the teeth of our skins…
I wonder what other body parts will pop up next?!?
Ow! Stop it, you two!
Go vote!

XD
OK there’s another T-shirt!
They remind me of Gollum, now that I think about it.
LOVE the skin’s stance in the last panel. And, of course, love Ursula.
Keep up the hilarious work.
Mr. Skin looks so offended, and so righteous. I love it!
WOMBAT FACE PALM!!

Maybe Digger should let Ed give it a try with the negotiations.
I’m sure she’s thinking about trying to wring a little bit more goodness out of their necks. She might not have gotten it all the last time.
68 (or so) more votes and Digger could make it to #30! http://topwebcomics.com/vote/10180/default.aspx

I am so glad somebody’s keeping track of the number of facepalms. 115. Wow.
What about the goodness of their livers?
the kindness of their necks skin they helped!
I think the skins look a bit like Danny and Wendel from the Dragonbreath books.
I just wanted to say, TekServer, that list of yours is bad ass. Kinda wish I’d thought of it.

I’m quietly enjoying that the Skins talk in a slightly decrepit Pica like font…
Note to TekServer:
You seem to have missed out one of my favourite facepalms. Feb 18th 2007. Last pannel and most definitely a facepalm. Fantastic list otherwise.
And a fantasic page of Digger! Hooray for the Skin Lizards.
@Barry: That’s what SHE said….
Great page Ursula!
@bbot: She has . . . enough. If it ever becomes plot relevant, she will have . . . not enough. These are very special numbers, found only in fiction.

As close as we are, Tek, I’d say the skins again, because they do cause a multitude therein. 😀
I guess this is a good moment to show this.

For some reason your link doesn’t work by itself.
