Azzandra–I’m with you. I think Digger and Ed are back in the original tunnel which would lead Digger back home. When she first popped up in The Compassionates’ temple Digger only had to worry about herself. Now she’s got a whole lot more riding on those small wombat shoulders.
I’ll see you at magic Tindi, and raise you Gods: Digger made it quite clear when she first met Ganesh that she disliked magic even more than gods, but after being messed around by every deity from Rath to the Peacocks Head, I think she may be willing to reconsider. Either way, she wonβt like either, and will be angry is she sees any Gods. Or any dwarves. Or any shoddy bracing in the construction of the tunnels. Or any deeply religious dwarves building some shoddy tunnel bracing using magic….
Or deeply religious dwarves building shoddy tunnel bracing by sacrificing structural integrity in order to include religious symbolism, and making up the difference with magic …
Or…. they could be walking in circles, and cue facepalm π
Or… ugh… I hate the feel of gods, magic, and particularly god-magic. Bleah!
I don’t know why I suddenly thought this, but if this ends in tragedy for Ed I will cry so damn hard.
Light and laughter,
SongCoyote
Ugh: the option everyone overlooks…;)
Uh oh. Let not that ‘ugh’ be caused by bad-air wooziness.
Or the tunnel itself could be changing around.
Digger started out this comic loving caves (except when there’s a pocket of gas), but now I think caves are the most ominous thing here.
…Or maybe this is the tunnel through which Digger first arrived?
I’ve already voted. Have you?

Maybe where the skin lizards talked to her and Murai. Or maybe smjjames is right, and they have been walking in circles.
I have to go with SongCoyote’s take on it: ugh, it reeks of magic…
Yup, I’m thinking she’s just thought of the magic angle too …
Don’t forget to VOTE! π
Also, facepalm count updated …
Whoops, forgot to put the number! Facepalm count is now at 114.
π
Do I smell fancy-shmancy Helix staircase?
Also, I’m with SongCoyote–if Ed dies, I’m gonna need some kind of warning not to read that page at the office. It would be a problem.
Magic that makes them confused, perhaps, or creates new pathways… on the latter I hear a callback to the beginning.

TekServer, until you put up the link in that comment, I wasn’t able to find the vote link. Which is too bad, because I really enjoy this comic.
uggg skin wearers…
I confess I have been through the first comic pages looking for the very same rock arc here stalactites and all.
All I can say is all of this looks familiar but I am not sure… π
Maybe they are at the beginning of the comic now……well, why not, we have had everything but time-travel up to this point, so why not?
Digger the LOST episode.
I was thinking magic as well… Nothing makes Digger facepalm like magic. π
