That’s actually pretty awesome, the scent thing. It works cross species a lot though: cats and dogs seem to be able to detect changes in mood in humans. Well, mine do at any rate!

I just finished the archive up to this point. And it is fun how you can tell a persons mood by their scent. Of course, every other person uses so much perfume from whatever source that it’s usually impossible to tell anything other than what fruit or flower they like best. A number of those perfumes also stink very bad.

Me, I’m glad we’re out of the tunnels and introspection crap. All the Sniffles of Tragedy about Shadowchild and doom n gloom bits following have been drawn-out annoying downers to me. I like reading the comments, and happen to prefer not-sniffles-n-worry. (I’m not telling any of you to change, or getting on your cases; I’m just stating my preference for happy and sarcastic and feisty and lots of other things 🙂 .) Just so some of you others also know it’s okay to feel that way.
With all of the obvious potential for problem in new long tunnels (*any* new place), it’s neat and refreshing that a passage was just an empty passage, actually.
*impressed that grim eyes can pick up on wombat scent cues, but then she is the best hunter of her tribe.
