I have this terrible fear that the darkness is a thing. Possibly a thing that talks. Maybe even related to Shadowchild. Wait, could Shadowchild help us find the darkness?
Oh, cool! So the monastery isn’t entirely deserted! But how could Grim Eyes miss another person being there? Maybe this person is extremely sneaky or!- a shadow-person or something.
Finally! A free webcomic I can recommend to anybody. It’s clean, funny, original, has a strong sense of continuity, and involves neither bizarre kinks nor wordplay on the 762nd digit of pi.
I’ve been screen-capping mac style the little things you throw into your big illustrations, for future icons or sentimentalism, I don’t know. (I’ve got eleven so far. The ‘Cave fish do it in the dark’ is my favorite, but a snail writing ‘gastropods rule’ is pretty good too) I know some will become icons at some point anyway, simple ones.
I can’t believe I’m finally caught up. Now I’m going to have to endure the thousand agonies of reading this story one piece at a time, whereas I’ve been used to getting it in big chunks all at once. Oh, cruel fate!
Thanks for releasing this comic for free ^^ I’ve not been able to ‘put it down’ (as much as you can put a webcomic actually down that is) since i started reading it. Such an awesome tale, thanks!
I completely didn’t realize that this wasn’t part of GraphicSmash anymore! Definately grats on the new site, the flow is much simpler now. This also explains why I didn’t have to log in to see the archives 🙂
I’ll definately be either donating or ordering a print soon. This is definately my favorite all-around webcomic and by far the most impressive artwork. I read it all in about 2 days, on and off, but I love to stop and look at the art too! Favorite characters are definately Shadowchild and Digger.
Fireball would be more apt, magic missile doesn’t shed light on it’s own, it’s glow is self contained. Damn you Gyjax, why can’t we use cantrips to light the way?
