500 pages?! Wow, I knew I’d been reading for a long time, but I had no idea… I must say, I’m hooked. This story is so engaging, the characters are refreshingly unique and creative, and the black and white drawings are so beautiful and expressive. The light-hearted whimsy is delightful, and the occasional emotional twists really give it depth and draw me in. Thanks for making it free!!
Congratulations, Ursula! Can’t say I didn’t see this comic making it this far, but it’s still awesome to actually see it happen. Keep up the amazing work, and thanks so much for sharing your gift with us!
I’ll make my first post here to say that I’ve covered these last 500 pages over the last three days.
At the rate I’m going, I expect to be caught up by the end of the week.
This is a great comic!
🙂
I like to pretend that this comic is cannon, and that the birds burst out of the tree carrying a large banner with the number 500 on it for no apparent reason.
It would have been funny if there was a strip for this.
Digger: What the?
Grim Eyes: What’s this supposed to mean?
Murai: Perhaps it is for the 500th step of our journey.
I seem to be several months later than everybody else to reach this point, but it still bears saying: this is a great comic! Thank you so much for making this!
I only get a litlle time now and then to read Digger, and from different workstations in different parts of the multiverse (that I’m supposed to be fixing, ahem) so I knew a loooooong time ago that the page numbering in the URL was … ummm … idiosyncratic.
Hooray!
Huzzah!
And congratulations, also.
Say.. as long as the slug is there, you can find out what it was trying to tell you… 🙂
But… isn’t this actually strip #545, or at least within two strips of that?
They’re not numbered in order. (Much to my nine-year-old’s outrage when she noticed.)

Yay! 500 comics and still going strong! Congrats all around, and thanks to the author! 😀
Bravo!

Hazar! Three cheers for Ursula!

(Caught up now and working on my second time through … )

3rd time through the archives … yeah, I know I’m weird …
😉

If this is comic 500 — why is the file name ?p=548 ?
Just wondering….
Stinky: Look up. The comics are not always in sequential number order. Keep an eye on the URL as you switch.
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh…why am I still HERE! I’ve been here since 7:30 and it’s after noon!
*ahem* because of the awesome.

……
Umm……my browser thingy says 548, minus the three from the first page….
…but ok then. 500 pages it is.
Well done, those girls.

One thing: \m/
uff.
“This is a cause for celebration!”
“Am I a cause for celebration?”
“Uh…”
Yay!
Perhaps it’s a /metaphorical/ 500 sign.
It still amazes me that at one point Ursula didn’t think this would make it to 100 pages.
I’m so glad she was wrong on that count.
