  1. The Dark Ferret says:

As Gary Larson quipped in one of his strips, “It looks like another one of those damned Amazing Journeys”! LOL

  2. Kevin says:

I’d laugh more if the speech bouboe in the last pannel had three speakers – but it probably wouldn’t fit, and it’s great as always.

  3. bA nAn A says:

I’m reminded of early episodes of Voyager.
Janeway: “Ensign, despite Starfleet protocol, I don’t like being addressed as ‘sir.'”
    Kim: “I’m sorry … ma’am.”
Janeway: “‘Ma’am’ is acceptable in a crunch, but I prefer ‘Captain.'”

  4. BunnyRock says:

The first episode, if my geekature serves me correctly bA nAn A (love Rejected Cartoons by the way).

Also Dark Ferret, love the Larson reference. If i recall one of the three creatures in that magnificent journey was a giant squid. ahh… it’s the simple things in life you treasure…

  5. Sammi says:

Your geekature is correct. The scene where Janeway’s introducing herself to her crew on the bridge.

  6. Xyon says:

If I remember correctly, Kim’s response to that was “Yes ma’am.”

  7. TekServer says:

You sure it wasn’t “Yes Captain”?

    I don’t rightly recall …

    🙂

  8. Tjocke Bo says:

“Grim Eyes oined your party!” *level-up sound*

  9. Naler says:

Oh dear. These comments have yet again made me painfully aware that my geekacation (geek+education) is nowhere near complete. D: xD

  10. rueyeet says:

I’m a little surprised Grim Eyes wasn’t offended to be taken for a male — but then, Murai isn’t of the tribe, so I guess it maybe doesn’t really count.

  11. werepixi says:

Actually I thought Kim said something along the lines of “Yes ma’am ….uh…sorry captain”. But that was a long time ago and it is tough to remember

  12. Rowena says:

That reminds me of The Fellowship of the Ring, you know, where Pippen asks where they’re after he’s joined the quest.

  13. Lord the 22nd says:

Rowena, I loved that scene. One of my favorites.
