Huh, it is (seemingly) Manuel. That’s far less mysterious than his name being Manual and Librarian Vo getting the name wrong.
Anything that both impresses and alarms the awakened avatar of a god and doesn’t herald the destruction of all is cool in my book, and anyone that does all of the above is probably also okay.

Although he doesn’t say “amused” I wouldn’t be surprised if the statue was, since the Veiled clearly get up his trunk every once in awhile.
