Yeah, me too. I hate to leave spoilers lying around, but on re-reading, this is really, really sad. Not as bad as one other page though. There is this one Digger page where i worked out something before it was formerly reveled, and raged and swore at the computer because that couldn’t be right. and it broke my heart.
Meh, to tell you the truth, I think Ed’s sob story is the least interesting part of the comic. (yes, I know that that’s a wildly unpopular opinion.) more on that later, don’t want to spoil anything for first time readers.
without giving too much away though, I can say that Ed’s bad grammar kind of messes up the meaning of his statement; “…is using them on own little one when little one is hurt.”
hope that helps clear things up for you first time readers without being a spoiler.
Poor Ed. That’s one attention starved ‘yena.
Man… it’s been longer since I last re-read this than I thought. I missed the connection about his little one being hurt. *hugs Ed* I luffs him!
“ED IS CAN PAINT ALL TIME”
Hmm
new internet meme possibly?
I remember this. awww…Ed’s little one…
hehe.. “I always aspired to be a dirt fish…”
“Damnit Jim, I’m a wombat, not a dirt fish!”
Ditto on missing the little one reference the first time through …
I never noticed the paintbrush behind the ear until now. Eeee!
When I first read this comic I thought he meant something… else with his “little one”. I am depraved.
Then I read further on and it was all clear.

… aughdammitWHY?! I dont cry easily, and just that look from Ed… gah… i-it’s dust! Allergies! I need a moment…
Thank you for reminding me about that, guys! I already get all snuffly where Ed is concerned…

Wooooobie….
Ed is making Werrf-reader cry. Every darn time.
…’little one’? Why do I have a sinking feeling….
I just noticed that the style used for Ed is different from Digger; she’s got very clean, regular lines, while his are kind of ragged
Jay stole my line… Grrrr.
