Slightly out of sequence–sorry–this is the cover for Chapter Two of Digger. Since I had no idea at the time that I was going to be doing a comic with chapters, this was the first cover I ever did, and I’ve never gone back and done Chapter One, to the occasional annoyance of well-organized types who would prefer the archives run nice and linearly.
By the time I did the cover for the second chapter, I think I thought Digger would run maybe a hundred pages. Have I mentioned lately that I have no idea what I’m doing?
Well, whatever you are doing, it seems to be working pretty well.
Yes, but you are doing it so beautifully that we are better for not than so.
Would you not agree?
Would that I could do half as well WITH a plan as you do “by the seat of your pants.”
Digger looks adorable in that picture.
I like the little gold earring. =)
Snail!
…am I the only one who sees that snail as wearing a sweater-vest? ‘Cause if its ‘looking’ at the reader, and the vest has no sleeves or arm holes, I think we may have found a bigger crime than doggie-vests and cat-hats.
I love not knowing what I’m doing! I do it all the time!
Although, not quite as gloriously as the revered Ursula. But that’s only to be expected.
Roscoe: Banana slugs just look like that. They’re pretty common in the US Pacific Northwest
