Digger

That last panel there is sort of my tribute to Jeff Smith’s brilliant comic “Bone,” which was my great inspiration–not visually so much as “Hey! Wait! You mean I can do a black and white comic and it’s OKAY?!”

Look, I hadn’t read that much in the way of comics before. This was a revelation.

Digger, keep in mind that it could be worse. Winter doesn’t seem to fall as fast there as it does in that valley the Bones ended up in. A little rain isn’t so bad compared to that.

I like all the qualifiers Digger puts on her statement in the first panel.

    Rules of universal humor…

I absolutely adore how all of the cultures in this comic are so fleshed out and real. It makes for a good story when the writer has a degree in anthropology, I guess!

Quality glacial remnant boulders. The best kind of boulders, without a doubt. We have quite a few of them hereabout. My mom uses small ones to line the flowerbeds.
