Gotta love those maternal instincts …
Is there a difference between a Semi-God and a Demi-God?
Methinks a ’semi-god’ and a ‘demi-god’ would be that while a ’semi-god’ being is part of a god in something else (statue), a ‘demi-god’ being is merely a lesser god of minor powers. Of course, I mean ‘minor powers’ in relation to an alpha-omega type god and as such, they’d still be a problem for us mortal beings, or at least for the body that one’s soul resides in. Sound about right?
a demigod is the child of a god and a mortal, which kind of makes me wonder if there is something wrong with me since i read the comments.

(P.S. You’re right; that’s my understanding of what a demi-god is as well.)
Um…How to say this without sounding particularly nerdy?
Screw it, the prefixes demi- and semi- DO both mean half, but demi- also denotes belonging to a class or division of some sort (demi-god), while semi- can mean that the subject has some characteristics of something else (semi-plastic). So, it’s not saying that the statue is some form of half god, but that it is in possession god-like qualities. Maybe? I dunno.
Wow, that came out longer than I thought it would, I like words.
